I even checked the option (that is uncheck mute).- Control is hard and kind of funny (well, the game is old).- One of the games where manual firing is much faster that autofiring.- By the way, you cannot get to the bottom most of the screen.You'll totally see what you missed floating slowly right on your back.* The sequel has much more content. (More graphics too, of course.)Also played that one. Considering to buy it on Steam with discount.The gameplay is no so different, but it gives you more to do.. Games are overpopulated market. Good games are hard to find in all the noise. This game is pure hidden gem.On a later stage I will write a detailed review. Was inlove with the game as a kid, I spent hours upon hours, without knowing it was the Demo version. Nostalgic. Though, after playing TBOI and Gungeon and other bullet hell games, took me one run to finish the game. Thought it would have a bit more variety in the weapon upgrades but seems like getting to max weapon isnt hard. Btw, if anyone has problems with quick flashes and lights, do not use the Laser weapon(The Yellow One).. woah man, could play this game for my life time, one of best indie oldschool games ever existed, i had no internet connection and my girlfriend played this game for a whole day 11/10. Wow, I played this as a kid years ago, can't believe it's actually on steam! This game is full of humour (for instance, when a chicken dies, it explodes into drumsticks), and is really fun to do. Well, the first half of the game is, anyway. All the levels from the Asteroid Belt level are really unpleasant, because they're too hard. And the very last level is a nightmare, it's so easy to die in this game, and I had to restart so many times, I've lost count. Won't be doing that level again. But I'll definitely be doing the levels in the first half of the game, and will get Chicken Invaders 3, 4, and 5 soon, too! :D. One of my favourite games from my childhood. I remember spending hours trying to get as far as possible when I was young, which made it feel really weird when I made it to the final level without getting hit.. A really entertaining game which brings a lot of memories from my childhood, still remember playing it for the first time in my neighbor's old PC. So I thought I would buy it here on Steam for some nostalgia, since it's so cheap. No idea why they would change the magnificent original music sounds from the game, but it's still nice that they decided to leave the original, as they call it, "chiptune" music, since it is much better, and sounds less generic than the "orchestral" one, IMHO.If you just wanna kill some time, this is the perfect game for you, it is fairly easy to beat once you get the hang of it, but it's really lots of fun.. Such a blast from the past! My family used to play this and the first Chicken Invaders so much. It's so fun to discover games like this again. Highly recommend. Entertaining and clever.
